1967 MG B

We currently have two MG B’s and whilst similar in look they are slightly different to drive. The first, lovingly known as Roger was our first introduction into classic MG cars and has a special place in our fleet. The MG B is very much a modern British classic with an instantly recognisable shape and great exhaust sound.  Many people remember either owning a “B” or admiring someone who did, perhaps that’s part of its charm.

Roger is a 1967 model and like our TD and A has a four speed gearbox.  The overall drive is more like a modern car than the earlier models, but he still has all the quirks and fun of driving a classic car.  He has an 1800cc engine giving him plenty of power to cope with the sometimes steep, rolling hills of Devon.  He has a boot and boot rack to store all the things that you need for a perfect day out, as we have found on many occasions when we have taken him out of the County and on MG “runs”.

Roger has a soft top hood, 2 seats and wind up windows.  He is having a respray this summer - as classic cars tend to need a lot of TLC to keep them in good and roadworthy condition - so when you see him he will still be in red but he may no longer have the George Cross on the bonnet…

For more information about the model please contact us, or if you want to know more about MGs go the MG Car Club www.mgcc.co.uk or MG Owners club at www.mgownersclub.co.uk
